At approximately 3:38 p.m., on September 26, 2013, an elderly couple died in an Overland Park, Kansas auto accident.
An 86 year old man and his 80 year old wife were traveling eastbound on 79th Street when a vehicle traveling southbound on Mastin failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of 79th and Mastin, and struck the elderly couple's vehicle. The southbound vehicle was being operated by a nineteen year old man that admitted to police that he ran the stop sign.
The elderly couple died from accident related injuries. The nineteen year old was not injured; however, a passenger in 19 year old man's vehicle reported injuries.
