Collision Between Truck and Tractor Results Death

At approximately 6:15 p.m., on September 24, 2013, in an unusual accident, Ms. Barbara Elmer, driving a 1998 New Holland tractor, was struck from behind by delivery truck and killed.

Ms. Elmer, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was traveling westbound on Byrnesville Road, in Jefferson County, Missouri at the time of the accident. The truck that struck Ms. Elmer's tractor from the rear was also traveling westbound behind Ms. Elmer. The truck was driven by Eric Young, of Fenton, Missouri. The collision occurred as Ms. Elmer was attempting to make a left turn into a private drive. The force of the impact caused the tractor to overturn, ejecting Ms. Elmer.

Ms. Elmer died from her accident related injuries. Mr. Young was not injured.
