On March 11, 2012 at noon two cars collided head-on near the center of County Road 281 in rural Carroll County, Missouri. After mediation the four victims of the crash resolved their competing claims for insurance policy limits on the two vehicles.

Quentin Simmons, age 19, was driving a 2000 Ford Escort with passengers Jessica Hodge, age 17, and Breanna Millard, age 16. The other vehicle was driven by Logan Frank, age 18.

Quentin Simmons expired at the scene as a result of the collision. Breanna Millard suffered a traumatic brain injury and multiple orthopedic injuries including hip and pelvic fractures.
