Biography: A lifelong resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, Jay graduated with honors from Missouri Western State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology. In 2000 Jay earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Following graduation Jay worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office from 1999-2002. In October 2002 Jay left the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for private practice. Jay has been with the Montee Law Firm since March 2004, and specializes in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family Law, Worker’s Compensation and Personal Injury Law.

Jay is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Buchanan County Bar Association.
